let us speak freely

beliefs kind and unkind

your point of view is fine

(so is mine)

 

I understand what you say to me and I agree, but on the contrary

where I stand is at point of sight and right on right's an opinions blight

 

let's chat amongst ourselves

about whatever and everything else

the world and its downfalls

what's the meaning of it all

(if at all)

 

Now, some things I've said have been out of line but there comes a time, I've got to speak my mind

what's in my head, do you want to know..give me the go, I'll cast the 'ol first stone

but not without sin

 

You don't understand what I say to you and you don't approve of my attitude

where you stand's an attempt enlight and right on right's an opinions blight

to keep myself from falling down, gotta keep my head above the clouds

what's in my head, you don't want to know, no one can cast the first and only stone
